Mike and his family were extremely friendly & helpful. Mike picked us up from the ferry the first day. His son accompanied us to a restaurant they recommeneded for dinner, so that we did not get lost. They were very attentive and made our stay worthwile.
Do not expect fashionably furnished rooms. It's a great place to stay,if you set your expectations correctly.

Mr. Voulamandis was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The house is from Genoese period in Chios. It is nice to have a chance to stay there! Mr Voulamandis çok iyi davrandı, herşeyde yardımcı olmaya çalıştı. Ceneviz döneminden kalma bir evden dönüştürülmüş. Bu da ortamı daha çok sevmemize neden oldu.
The beds were not comfortable. Yataklar hiç rahat değildi, bel ağrısı yaptı.

Most amazing old mansion, lovely attentive staff with the highlight being breakfast. Home made jam and lemonade to die for! Fair way from city so must be prepared to wait for slow buses or expensive taxis but the solitude and silence is worth it. Situated on an orange grove there is plenty to do, thiamina village only 1km away. Highly recommend this place!

The good: excellent staff / owners, great prices, amazingly clean and spotless, wonderful home-made breakfast!
The bad: the location is a bit hard to find but Google Maps took us there without any problems.

Absolutely wonderful hospitality and a very nice room in a lovely old building. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner.

The Stone-made buildings were really attractive. The whole environment of the hotel was amazing. The breakfast was adequate.
Because of the rural territory, the hotel rooms had ants.

Set on an old farm which still harvests 250 year old orange trees, there is a beautiful courtyard and an old well. Most importantly the hosts are absolutely charming and friendly people who could not be more helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the breakfast with home made orange marmelade fantastic. There are also some wonderful tavernas, two within walking distance in the local village. This is not a luxury hotel, but very comfortable, plenty of hot water and great value for money.

Everything was perfect, but, if you choose this hotel, you have to realize: to get back and forth by public bus is rather difficult. Best off all is to rent a car or motorbike.

The location is very close to perfect. The owner/manager is very polite and helpful, he implements the best practices of greek (and international) hospitality. The garden is fabulous. The rooms are spacious (but in poor condition). Breakfast was good with the exception of coffee (but we managed to replace it with greek coffee).
The room that I used was humid and there was an unpleasant odor of mold. The bathroom was large and comfortable, but in worn condition. The room needs immediate and radical repair. Based on other customers' comments and evaluations, I expected much better quality. Hope that the bad condition of the room is due to the end of season, but again, this is a very poor excuse.

The hotel staff was very polite. Michael, Maria, Stratos and Angelliki were very helpful acting as personal tour guides since every day were given us directions and suggestions for places to go!!! I believe it is a suitable place for couples and families enjoying relax and harmony. It is close to sea and to the center of Chios. We really enjoyed the breakfast with lemonades and oranges from their farm!!! I will never forget the view from my balkony to the huge farm of Voulamandis House. I would really recommend Voulamandis House to couples and families. It is the best value for money choice
No everything was perfect!!

We enjoyed a room with small balcony, no kitchen in this room. All facilities were nice, it was a big garden for guests to use and a swimming pool. Breakfast was simple but very good. We recommend highly the place, the owner was very helpful, because there was a strike and he called for the ship company a few times to find out if Our boat will go or not.

Excellent value for the money, extremely nice staff and an excellent last minute booking experience. Location is very quiet and idyllic on a farm in one of the quaint villages on the island and run as a family business. Definitely to recommend.
